Trent Alexander-Arnold completed a transfer from Liverpool to Real Madrid last summer but his move has taken a dark turn
Real Madrid have released a statment confirming action will be taken after two of Trent Alexander-Arnold’s team-mates were involved in a training ground fight. Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde reportedly clashed for the second day in a row.
The Athletic reports that Valverde was taken to the hospital for assessment after suffering a head injury. Following a strong challenge from him on Tchouameni in training, the argument is said to have continued in the changing room.
During the altercation back in the dressing room, Valverde fell and hit his head on a table. He was taken to hospital for assessment, but has since returned home.

Marca reports that the fall was not caused by Tchouameni, but that team-mates did intervene to separate the two. It prompted crisis talks between the two.
Real chief Jose Angel Sanchez was in attendance. The meeting was intended to prevent any problems from escalating further, with the atmosphere at the club described as’‘extremely tense.’
Real eventually released a statement confirming that an investigation had been opened into the day’s events and that action would be taken.
“Real Madrid CF announces that, following the events that took place this morning in the first team training session, it has decided to open disciplinary proceedings against our players Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouameni,” it read.
“The club will announce the resolutions of both cases in due course, once the corresponding internal procedures have been completed.”
Sky Sports, HBO Max, Netflix and Disney+ with Ultimate TV package
Sky has upgraded its Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle to now include HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, discovery+ and Hayu, as well as 135 channels and full Sky coverage of the Premier League and EFL.
Sky broadcasts more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more with at least 215 live from the top flight alongside Formula 1, darts and golf.
The situation is not one that Alexander-Arnold would have hoped to be involved in when he made the move from Liverpool to Real last summer.
The full-back joined the Spanish team shortly before the expiry of his contract at Anfield, with Liverpool paid a fee of around £10 million for allowing him to join in time for the Club World Cup.
It’s been a mixed season for the full-back. He looks set to miss out on a place in England’s World Cup squad after being omitted from Thomas Tuchel’s selection for the March friendlies against Uruguay and Japan.
The tensions in the Real camp come just days before El Clasico against Barcelona. Real go into the match knowing that anything other than a win would virtually seal the La Liga title for their rivals.
Barcelona are 11 points clear at the top of the table with four games of the campaign remaining.
The incident between Tchouameni and Valverde came just a day after the two are said to have had an altercation on the training ground. Both will now face disciplinary action from the club, which is far from ideal preparation ahead of El Clasico.
