Lee Andrews failed to make an appearance in London this morning for their joint interview
Susanna Reid has warned Katie Price about her husband Lee Andrews as she claimed he is “lying” to her. The former glamour model tied the knot with her new man in Dubai earlier this year.
Both Katie and Lee were expected to appear on Good Morning Britain together for their first joint interview today, but the businessman failed to show. Katie sat alongside hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls on the GMB sofa on Tuesday, May 12.
Susanna Reid told viewers: “Katie and her husband Lee were booked to appear and up until yesterday that was still the case.” Meanwhile, Lee posted to social media today to say he was “attending to business” in Dubai, reports The Mirror.
Susanna said the Good Morning Britain team had contacted the Foreign Office to see if Lee had a travel ban. The Foreign Office responded: “We supported a British man who was detained in the UAE.”
Ed then asked Katie directly if Lee had been arrested. She said: “No, I feel like they just said it to me in there [backstage] so I just said to Lee, ‘apparently a British man has been detained, can you confirm its not you?’, and he’s done a voice note back and said it’s not him and sent laughing emojis.”
Susanna then asked Katie if Lee was “unreliable”. She said: “Not to me.”
She told hosts Susanna and Ed to “interrogate” her to clear things up. Susanna said: “What I love about you Katie is that you’re very open, but I just wonder if he’s telling you everything.”
Katie added: “I know no one believes me, your face says it all, [Susanna]. I can’t keep going to Dubai because I’ve got work and my kids are here.
“He pays for it anyway but I can’t keep going to Dubai so he’s shifting over here. I said ‘I keep flying to you, you’ve got to come to England now’.”
When the Foreign Office was mentioned again, Susanna asked Katie if their information “raised a concern” for her.
She said: “No you’ve asked the question to them – they haven’t come to you. He wouldn’t have his phone, he wouldn’t be at the airport, so it’s definitely not Lee. I’ve just had him on FaceTime at the airport; it’s definitely not Lee.
“He does a lot of stuff. I know what he does, so I believe it.”
Katie had previously hinted her partner couldn’t fly last month. Her sister Sophie had asked her sister about the apparent travel ban on their podcast, to which Katie said: “Do you know what? Everyone has said to me you can get a travel ban over anything in Dubai.”
Katie and Lee married earlier this year just days after meeting, sparking fears with her family and fans.
