A man has been taken to Aintree Hospital after he was stabbed in Warrington on Friday night, (May 1). Cheshire Police was called to reports that a stabbing has taken place at around 11pm in the Greenings Court area of the town, following an argument.
A 44-year-old man was left with a stab wound in his lower torso and was taken to Aintree Hospital for further treatment. Cheshire Police said he has since been discharged and is recovering at home. His injuries are not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.
Officers are now appealing to anyone with any information to come forward.
Detective Constable Elodie Parkinson said: “No arrests have been made at this time and we are appealing to anyone with any information to get in touch.
“Officers are particularly keen to speak to a man and a woman who were at the scene of the incident, as it is believed they hold vital information.
“We also believe the driver of a Volkswagen passed the scene and may have witnessed the incident or could have captured it on dashcam footage, so I would encourage any motorists who may have been in the area at the time to please review any dashcams they may have.”
