David Platt is concerned when he finds a pregnancy test
The drama continues on Coronation Street as the residents of Weatherfield prepare to celebrate Betsy Swain’s 18th birthday next week, but things don’t go exactly to plan. Amid the drama of the celebrations, Carl continues his plan to pay off Tracy, dragging Brody and Dylan into the mix. There are serious consequences for their dangerous and deceiving actions, with one member of the street taken to hospital.
At the start of the week, Betsy returns home just in time for her 18th birthday party. The drinks are flowing and Betsy raises a toast to the photo of Becky on the side.
As Betsy announces she’s off into town with her mates, Lisa quizzes her about her social life. Pointing out she’s no longer a little girl, Betsy reveals she slept with Dylan last night.
Later on in the precinct, Betsy leaves a voice message for Dylan and another for Lisa. But before she can finish, there’s a loud crash as a stolen car hits something. Betsy lets out a scream.
Meanwhile, Kevin and Abi return from holiday and Kevin’s annoyed to find Carl working at the garage. He expresses his anger and says he wants him gone by the end of the day.
Still struggling to find the money to pay off Tracy, Carl tells Brody and Dylan he’s got a job for them. As Dylan and Brody speed past George in a stolen car, George glances at the driver and is taken aback to see that it’s Dylan.
Elsewhere, Lily tells David she’s got a stomach ache, but he’s sceptical and sends her to school. When he moans to Sarah how Lily’s been fighting over a boy and tried to skive off school, Sarah’s concerned.
David’s annoyed to see that Carla’s been dumping rubbish in his bin. But he’s intrigued to find a pregnancy test.
Convinced it’s Betsy’s, David shows Sarah, but when she suggests it might be Lily’s, his glee turns to horror.
Sarah and David continue to panic that Lily could be pregnant. David reacts as the owner of the pregnancy test comes forward but can they keep it under wraps?
Later in the week, Lisa is sent spiralling as she reels in shock after the unexpected events at Betsy’s birthday. Kit reveals they’ve found the car but somebody has torched it in a bid to cover their tracks.
With one resident seriously injured in hospital, George reveals to Dylan that he saw him driving the car. Dylan assures him he’s mistaken.
As Abi admits to Carl that she can’t stop thinking about him, she’s bemused to see his phone ring with the caller ID Dylan. Under pressure, Carl admits that Brody and Dylan have been working for him, stealing cars to order. How will Abi react?
Coronation Street airs on Monday and Friday next week at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
