Users are experiencing issues on Meta platforms
Thousands of users are experiencing problems when accessing Facebook and Messenger. Some users are also experiencing technical issues with both Instagram and WhatsApp.
It seems technology company Meta is experiencing some problems. This has caused some of the world’s biggest social media platforms to be inaccessible for people up and down the country.
People have taken to X, formally known as Twitter, to report their issues.
One user said: “So Facebook is telling me there’s a technical issue , i tried logging in with my passkey and nothing?! Is it down?”
Another said: “Facebook and Messenger Down???” A third added: “Facebook appears to be down”.

Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp have now returned to normal after the tecnical issues were resolved.

It seems users are also experiencing issues with Instagram. Taking to X to share their problems, one user said: “Someone please tell me why I cannot login to my Instagram account. Am I the only one who’s having this problem?”
A second said: “Guys is anyone’s Instagram down? It won’t let me send messages.”
Meta has not yet issued an update as users continue to experience issues.
Meta owns and operates some of the world’s biggest social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and Threads. This explains why multiple services are experiencing outtages at the same time.
When trying to access Facebook, some users are being met with a “please log in” message.
Some users are reporting issues with Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger as well as Facebook. People have taken to X to report problems.
One said: “Facebook Messenger is down for a lot of people right now.”
Another added: “Anyone else having issues with Instagram.”
Users started reporting issues at around 2.30pm today, according to Down Detector.
