A brooch covered in blood was found by the police in Todd’s flat on Coronation Street and fans ‘know’ exactly who it belongs to
Coronation Street fans have ‘worked out’ the owner of the bloodied brooch that was found in Todd Grimshaw and Theo Silverton’s flat.
Last month, abuser Theo (James Cartwright) was murdered after his reign of terror over Todd (Gareth Pierce) was exposed, sparking another whodunnit on the long-running ITV soap.
The list of suspects includes Todd, Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins), George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley), Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby), Gary Windass (Mikey North), and Danielle Silverton (Natalie Anderson).
And this week, George was questioned after the police came across one of his jumpers with blood on the sleeve. Although George said that the blood was Theo’s, it was from an altercation he had with Theo earlier on before he died.
However, George also claimed that he spent the night alone on a walk, but had no alibi or anyone to back this up. And in Wednesday’s episode (May 6), after having spent the night in a cell, George was questioned again about his whereabouts on the night Theo was murdered.
George was then shown a photograph of a brooch that was covered in blood, which was discovered at Todd and Theo’s flat. George was asked if he had ever seen it before, but said he had no idea where it had come from.
But now, fans are certain they know who the brooch belongs to. On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one person said: “Does anyone recognise the brooch, yet? I couldn’t quite make it out. Who could it be related to?”
And plenty of viewers think it belongs to Theo’s ex-wife Danielle. “I’m hoping it’s the ex-wife,” said one person. Someone else added, “Yes, I think it’s Danielle who murdered him.” A third chimed in: “It will belong to Theo’s ex-wife…”
However, other fans suggested Summer, with one person writing: “I’d say it’s Summers as more likely the kind of thing she would have.” Another agreed: “Summer.”
Meanwhile, Corrie producer Kate Brooks recently revealed when Theo’s killer will be unmasked – fans have got to wait a while. She confirmed: “It’s later in the summer.
“We reveal to the audience who it is during late June/July. There are lots of people you definitely think could be. It’s a massive story, there are so many different twists, and there are so many different offshoots to the story as well.”
Kate teasingly added, “You think you’re watching one thing, and then it diverts into a completely new kind of story territory. It’ll definitely keep people guessing.”
