Both soaps have been taken off TV on Tuesday
Both Coronation Street and Emmerdale have been removed from their slots on ITV on Tuesday (March 31). The soaps usually air in half-an-hour time slots between 8pm and 8.30pm weeknights on ITV1. But both programmes have been scrapped from tomorrow’s schedule due to a shake-up on ITV.
Soap fans will miss out on the drama in Yorkshire as well as in Weatherfield on Tuesday due to sports coverage on ITV1. The broadcast of England vs Japan begins at 7pm, ready for a 7.45pm kick-off-time live from Wembley.
The coverage ends at 10.05pm, which means Coronation Street and Emmerdale have been scrapped.
However, viewers will be pleased to know they won’t fall short this week. ITV has scheduled episodes of both soaps to air on Easter Sunday (April 5) to make up for the missing episodes.
On Sunday, Emmerdale airs at the earlier time of 7pm, followed by Coronation Street at 7.30pm.
But that isn’t the only shake-up to this week’s schedule, as there are a couple more changes soap fans should be aware of. Wednesday’s episodes are scheduled as normal, at 8pm and 8.30pm.
But on Thursday, the soaps have been brought forward half-an-hour, with Emmerdale at 7.30pm and Corrie at 8pm. This is followed by a repeat of Vera at 8.30pm until 10.25pm.
The same applies for Friday with Emmerdale at 7.30pm, Coronation Street at 8pm and Vera at 8.30pm.
