Coronation Street spoilers have unveiled the ensuing drama after Monday’s shocking Todd Grimshaw twist.
Soap enthusiasts will recall that Theo Silverton has been tormenting his husband Todd for months, even manipulating him into marriage last month in a chilling turn of events.
Fortunately, Theo’s deceit is starting to unravel on the cobbles as Todd’s father figure and colleague, George Shuttleworth, along with Todd’s friends Gary Windass, Sarah Platt, Summer Spellman and Christina Boyd, have seen through the malicious builder.
Aware that he’s being exposed and that he left Billy Mayhew to perish in the Corriedale car crash earlier this year, Theo is trying to move to Belfast with Todd while his loved ones attempt to stop this.
Following a candid conversation with Summer about Theo, Summer suggested that Theo might be behind Billy’s death, leaving Todd worried about his husband and the move to Belfast, reports the Daily Star.
Todd then proposed to Theo that they remain in Weatherfield instead of relocating to Belfast, which Theo appeared to agree with until he locked Todd in their bedroom.
After gaining Theo’s ‘trust’, Todd managed to exit the bedroom and while Theo was in the shower, he tried to make a break for it. However, Theo had locked the flat’s door and upon hearing Todd attempting to flee, he brutally assaulted him in heart-wrenching scenes.
Monday’s episode, now available on ITV X, concluded with a bloodied Todd turning up at Sarah’s doorstep and collapsing, pleading for her to ring the police.
In the wake of these distressing and impactful scenes, soap fans have been left wondering what will happen next to both Todd and Theo, with spoilers providing some insight.
On Wednesday evening, the popular ITV soap will air a poignant single-story episode where Todd finally confronts Theo, reporting him for assault and disclosing months of abuse to DS Lisa Swain and Kit Green.
Come Thursday, knowing they require the video footage from Theo’s tablet to strengthen Todd’s case, Sarah approaches Theo’s van, opens the door and rummages through Theo’s holdall. She spots a tablet and is about to grab it, but could she be on the verge of exacerbating the situation?
Rounding off the week on Friday, George offers to accompany Todd to the flat to gather his belongings, but when the door buzzer rings, Todd is thrown into a panic and he bolts from the flat in tears.
Later, Christina, Summer and Mary fuss over Todd, but the latter grimaces in pain, leading his devastated loved ones to realise just how vulnerable he is.
