The Other Bennet Sister, a drama inspired by Jane Austen’s timeless Pride and Prejudice, has finally been brought to life.
Based on the popular novel of the same name by author Janice Hadlow, The Other Bennet Sister turns the spotlight onto Mary Bennet, the seemingly unremarkable middle sister in Pride and Prejudice.
Its official synopsis playfully notes that “whilst we dream of being Lizzy, in reality most of us are more like Mary”.

When does The Other Bennet Sister start?
The Other Bennet Sister will be available to watch from 8pm on Sunday, March 15, on BBC One, reports the Mirror.
Adding to the excitement, the BBC will be broadcasting a double bill with two half-hour episodes airing consecutively.
How many episodes are there in The Other Bennet Sister?
The Other Bennet Sister comprises 10 episodes in total, with the drama returning every Sunday at 8pm for a double bill.
This means that the final two episodes will air on Sunday, April 12, provided there are no changes to the schedule.
If you can’t wait this long to see how the story unfolds, there is another option.
At 6am on Sunday, March 15, the first five episodes were released on BBC iPlayer, allowing viewers to tune in earlier than expected.
However, episodes six to 10 won’t be available to watch on BBC iPlayer until their release on Sunday, March 29.
