The top ten most expensive streets in Liverpool have been revealed. House-hunters will need deep pockets if they want to buy a property on any of these affluent streets, where average prices can exceed £1,000,000.

According to five years’ worth of house price data for Liverpool postcodes, collected by Property Solvers, Courtenay Road and Runnymede Close in Woolton and Allerton Road and Winterhill Road in Mossley Hill have some of the highest-valued homes in the area.

On Courtenay Road, three properties sold for an average of £1,075,333. On Runnymede Close, five properties sold for an average of £1,074,000, and Allerton Road saw three properties sell for an average of £1,058,333.

This marks a massive leap from the average Liverpool house price of £214,310, according to the latest HM Land Registry data.

Over the last five years, the average property price has increased by £50,847 (30.27%). In the past 12 months alone, costs have shot up by £10,188 (4.88%).

Over the last year, there were 4,074 residential property sales in Liverpool – a decrease of 848 transactions (-20.81%) relative to the previous year.

The majority of house sales (1098) were in the £134,000 – £188,000 range. Then came properties in the £80,000 – £134,000 range, where 882 were sold within this price bracket.

Excluding fall throughs, properties are taking an average of 190 days to sell (from being listed to completion) and the average difference between asking and sold prices is £6,678 (2%). As of March 2025, there were 1,176 new estate agency instructions, 640 agreed home sales and 378 property price reductions.
