At £32 a bottle it’s better value than the classic Brazilian Bum Bum Cream when it comes to price per ml
Sol de Janeiro have been releasing hit after hit, and Sephora shoppers are raving over a body lotion that’s come out in time for summer. Body Badalada Vitamin Infused Body Lotion has the iconic Cheriosa 62 scent that’s also found in Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, but gives 400ml of product for £32. It’s worth noting that 240ml of the thicker cream retails at £48.
The lotion not only smells great but also uses hyaluronic acid, Brazil nut oil and cactus pear extract to leave skin feeling hydrated. In a clinical study with 30 participants over 30 hours it was found by 95% of those involved that skin felt healthy, hydrated and ‘silky smooth’ after use.
& Other Stories has also launched a body lotion with pistachio and chocolate notes, dubbed Perfect Pistachio, that could be popular with fans of Sol de Janeiro. It’s £15 for a 350ml bottle, but it is worth noting that it doesn’t have any caramel notes.

It’s received an average rating of 4.94 out of 5 from over 160 reviews on Sephora. One shopper said, “The scent we all know and love, but in a body cream! For the price, it goes much further than the bum bum cream, yet the scent is just as strong. It’s not as thick as the other cream, so it’s easier to slap on and go. I’m hoping they bring this out in the other scent, like 71, as I can’t afford the full-size cream.”
A second wrote: “I’ve loved all Sol de Janeiro scents from beginning and the lotions are nice in the container. But now that it has a pump and is a lot thinner I’m even more obsessed! I think every lotion scent should have a pump. Goes on so easily. Leaves your skin moisturized and beautiful.”
A third could have been more pleased, penning: “It’s extremely lightweight. I’m definitely used to more richness as I have drier skin so this lotion only works for me when I layer it with a cream. That being said I love the scent! It lasts all day on my skin so I will continue to use it for my scent combos!”

This lotion goes on smooth, never feels greasy or sticky, and it smells just like the body cream we all love. I have extra dry skin, so I use the cream after showering. Then in the afternoon, I use this lotion for a boost of hydration. If. I want to spoil myself, I put it on before bed, too. It’s also pretty inexpensive for the amount you get. This is a yes for me, and you should try it, too!”
