A scouser has described their idea of a “perfect” way to spend 24 hours in Liverpool, but not everyone agrees. Liverpool is a fantastic city with so much on offer for visitors.

Whether you want to try award-winning food, vast museums or look at incredible architecture and history, there is something for absolutely everyone.

Some might argue that there is too much to do in Liverpool to just visit for 24 hours. But with that being said, one Reddit user posed in the R/Liverpool community to ask how they should spend 24 hours in Liverpool.

They said: “I’m going to Liverpool for the first time since I was a kid (alone) for the whole day and night, does anyone have any recommendations on what to do? I’m just there to see my friend since she just had a baby and I live 3 hours away. Would love to get out and do something!”

One scouser replied with how they would spend 24 hours in the city. They said: “Albert Dock breakfast, croissant at rough handmade perhaps.

“Ferry crossing and back. Make way while taking in the architecture to St George’s Hall and then a visit to Walker Art Gallery. Afternoon in Sefton Park with Lark Lane thrown in.”

But not everyone agreed with the scouser’s itinerary, with others sharing hidden gems of their own.

One person said: “Depends what you are interested in, as others have said lots of places to walk, docks/ nearby sefton park/ also Formby woods not too far away.

“There is a couple of museums, there are loads of places to eat and drink, tourists go on the city bus tour. There is a sauna on the dock which let’s you ice plunge into the dock.

“Escape rooms/cinema loads to do tbf most fun when you are with someone to be fair.”

A third said: “Lark Lane and Sefton park are lovely on a nice day. Nice for a stroll with the pram and lots of tasty food available.

“In the centre, Bold Street offers more good food and quirky shops. A few museums can be found down by the docks.

“Stay away from concert square if you’re partying imo! Go to the Baltic triangle for hipster nightlife and south eastern ropewalks for some trendy pubs and bars.”

A fourth added: “Brunch at Cosy Club, World Museum, Walker, walk round the docks, trip on the ferry, look round town, The Grapes on Roscoe Street for a drink.”
