A schoolboy and a teenager were stabbed inside a car park. Merseyside Police were called to Queen Square in Liverpool city centre at around 9.20pm on Monday, December 9.

It followed reports two teenagers had been stabbed inside the Q-Park. A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital having suffered injuries to his arm and shoulder. An 18-year-old boy suffered a “slight injury”, police confirmed.

A cordon was put in place outside the Delta hotel near to the car park on Monday and witnesses reported four ambulances, a rapid response vehicle and four police cars at the scene. Forensic officers could also be seen going in and out of the hotel.

Detective Inspector Debra Morley said: “This is the early stages of our investigation and we’d like to speak to anyone in the area at around 9.15pm who saw the incident or anyone making off. CCTV, dashcam or other footage could be vital in finding those responsible so please come forward at the earliest opportunity.

Knife crime has devastating consequences and we will respond to all information to identify who was involved, and anyone who carries weapons on the streets.” Please contact @MerPolCC, 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously with reference 1073 of Monday 9 December.
