A police car was badly damaged in a crash in Utting Avenue East

A road was closed to traffic tonight after a crash involving a police car. Emergency services were called to Utting Avenue East, Norris Green at around 10pm this evening, Thursday November 28.

A witness at the scene told the ECHO: “[The police car] looks like a write-off. It doesn’t look like another car is involved but a nearby car has minor damage.”

Pictures taken at the scene show extensive damage has been done to the police car. Another witness reported seeing “loads of police” and both air bags inflated following the crash. There were no major injuries, Merseyside Police said.
