Two fire engines attended the scene
Smoke billowed from the rear of a property after two quad bikes went up in flames. Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service were called to Britannia Crescent in Dingle shortly after 9pm this evening, Tuesday, June 17.
Two fire engines attended the scene. When firefighters arrived, they found two quad bikes “well alight”, which had spread to a fence at the rear of the property.
Photos taken near to the scene show plumes of black smoke billowing into the air.
A spokesperson for Mersey Fire said: “Fire crews were called to a car fire at Britannia Crescent this evening, with two fire engines in attendance.
“Crews were alerted at 9.01pm and on scene at 9.08pm.
“Crews arrived to find two quad bikes well alight at the rear garden of a property which had spread to a fence. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet and main jet to extinguish the fire.”
