People have been told not to approach Colin Williams if they see him
A man is wanted after absconding from prison. Colin Williams, who was serving a sentence for aggravated burglary and section 18 assault, failed to return to HMP Thorn Cross in Appleton on Monday, June 30.
The 28-year-old is described as white, around 5ft 11in tall, of medium build with brown hair and brown eyes. He also has dots tattooed on the knuckles of his left hand and a smiley face tattoo on his lower right arm. Williams has links to Warrington, St Helens, Ellesmere Port and North Wales but could be further afield.
Officers are currently carrying out a number of enquiries in a bid to trace Williams and they are urging anyone with information as to his whereabouts to get in touch. Anyone who sees Williams or knows of his whereabouts, is urged not to approach him, but to call Cheshire police immediately on 999 quoting IML 2122951.
Information can also be passed on anonymously, via Crimestoppers online https://crimestoppers-uk.org/give-information/forms/give-information-anonymously or by calling 0800 555 111.
