Viewers think James and Todd have “more chemistry”
Coronation Street fans are convinced they have found the next power couple to shake things up the cobbles. Drama continued in Weatherfield on Monday as Todd and Theo found themselves at the centre of another heated argument after Millie’s manipulating antics.
Millie panicked when Theo revealed that he was off to see her teacher to explain she had been missing school because she was pregnant. Todd was keen to show his support and urged Millie to come clean as it was obvious she was lying about expecting a baby.
An emotional Millie agreed and said she would take another pregnancy test to prove she was not actually pregnant. However, Todd was shocked to find out that Millie had lied once again, telling Theo that Todd had taken her for an abortion.
It was clear that Millie was doing her best to try and split Todd and Theo up for good. Later in the episode , Theo finally came to his senses that Millie had told another lie.
Theo made it clear for his daughter that he wanted be with Todd and not her mum. However, he couldn’t help but blame himself for Millie acting out.
Meanwhile, Todd was offended that Theo believed Millie’s accusations. He opened up to James over a drink in the Rovers, while James shared his thoughts on Dee-Dee wanting to get Laila christened.
One thing led to another and the two boys ended up getting cosy and went back to Todd’s for a heartfelt chat. However, when James tried to kiss Todd, he denied and said he loved Theo. Theo walked in at the very moment Todd pulled James in for hug.
Theo later went over to James’ to warn him to stay away. Worried about his relationship, Theo also told Todd to keep his distance from James.
Will Todd obey Theo’s orders or will he find himself leaning more towards James? Amid all of the romantic chaos on the cobbles, fans couldn’t help but notice that Todd and James looked particularly good as a couple.
Taking to X, one fan said: “I’m really liking James and Todd. They could be such a good pair! Far more chemistry than Todd and Theo.” A second viewer agreed: “James and Todd = Level up.”
More added to the conversation on social media, with another adding: “James and Todd would change lives.” A fourth said: “Better chemistry than Theo and Todd for sure….” A fifth wrote: “Corrie give us what we want and let Todd and James happen.”
