Stacey Solomon replaced Simon Cowell on tonight’s episode of the ITV talent show
Britain’s Got Talent viewers were in agreement with a shake-up to the judging panel tonight. The hunt for the next star to perform at the Royal Variety show continued on Saturday evening with another round of auditions.
The start of the episode saw KSI, Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden reprise their usual spots on the judges chairs to oversee the latest round of talent. However, there was a change mid episode as Simon was replaced by Stacey Solomon for a day of auditions.
The mum of five traded Pickle Cottage for Blackpool as she was wowed by a series of impressive performances. Stacey was particularly moved by singer, Kristel Herrera, who delivered a powerful rendition of Whitney Houston’s Run To You.
Stacey, who shot to stardom on the X Factor, told the contestant: “I look at you and don’t think you realise how incredible you are. I really hope you get more confidence because you are incredible.”
Stacey also used her Golden Buzzer to put through the Braunstone Community Primary School into the live shows. Viewers following the show on social media platform X were thrilled with her appearance on the episode.
They were in agreement the Loose Women panelist would make a great permanent addition to the panel. @TheQueerGuy said: “Stacey should be a judge all the time. Love her”
Anthony posted: “Can we please keep @StaceySolomon on the panel of judges?” Shaky posted: “Welcome back, Stacey Solomon.” @alltvukshows added: “Why do I prefer Stacey over Simon?”
Fans also said it was true to Stacey’s form that she voted through the group of children into the live shows. Dan said: “Glad it was Stacey pressed the golden buzzer.”
Ryan said: “OMG I TOLD YOU! STACEY PRESSED HER GOLDEN BUZZER!”
