An Ibiza legend has been confirmed for the Randox Grand National at Aintree Racecourse

A music act has been announced for the Randox Grand National. In previous years, the Randox Grand National Festival has welcomed Craig Charles, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and many more with its music offering. Each year, Red Rum Garden becomes a place where racegoers are spotted soaking up the music.

DJ Pete Tong has been announced as a performer after racing at the Grand National on Saturday, April 11. In a post on Instagram, Aintree Racecourse shared a video of Pete Tong with ‘Grand National day just got even bigger’ written across it. The caption: “Are you READY for this?

“Pete Tong is taking to the stage after racing on Randox Grand National Day!“An extra treat for racegoers with live music in the Red Rum Garden after the action finishes on the track.”

The world-famous DJ has a career stretching back over four decades as a broadcaster, clubland DJ and music industry tastemaker, with his emphasis always firmly focused on people having fun.

He has graced the decks of the best clubs and festivals worldwide. As a producer he has assembled the music for movie soundtracks such as The Beach, Human Traffic and 24 Hour Party People and has produced his own material under various guises.

And as an icon, he was the inspiration behind the film “It’s All Gone Pete Tong”.

The Jockey Club’s North West regional director who runs Aintree Racecourse Dickon White said: “It is fantastic news that we have such an iconic DJ as Pete Tong playing after racing in the Red Rum Garden on Grand National Day.

“The Randox Grand National Festival always has a tremendous atmosphere and is very much about people having fun, so this is pretty much the perfect partnership.

“We also look forward to welcoming Pete to nearby Haydock Park later in 2026 for Ibiza Classics on Friday, August 7, which looks set to be one of the highlights of our summer season.”

Tickets for Grand National Day are close to selling out, with some limited availability on the Embankment, which offers magnificent views of the world famous Grand National fences.

Ladies Day (Friday, April 10) at the Randox Grand National Festival has now sold out while there is still availability for Opening Day (Thursday, April 9).
