The couple first became parents in 1998
Gordon Ramsay has recently spoken about his home life and having children with his wife. The chef already has six children with his wife Tana.
The couple first became parents in 1998 after having their eldest daughter Megan, who is now 27. Twins Holly and Jack were born in 1999, Matilda was born in 2001 and sons Oscar and Jesse James were born in 2019 and 2023 respectively.
Gordon appeared on American chat show ‘Live with Kelly and Mark’ earlier this month. Joking about the age difference between the children, with Matilda born in 2001 and Oscar in 2019, Kelly Ripa said: “So you took like a break in the middle, so you were like overwhelmed, and then, just when things calm down, you were like ‘Let’s do it again’.”
He blamed his wife, who he pointed out in the audience as he said she already “wants one more”. The camera showed his wife smiling in the audience as the Hell’s Kitchen star made the announcement.
The studio audience cheered as Gordon added “number seven” and host Mark said “lucky number seven”. Speaking about his home life further, the 58-year-old said: “We moved out of the house three years ago.
“We spent three years getting this beautiful house redone for the two little ones, and we sort of garnered more space. We had our own floor, and all of a sudden I come back from filming and the elder four have moved back into the house.”
“Just when you thought it was all nice and peaceful — two boys, Tana and I — man, there’s now 8 of us in that house,” he added. “It’s insane.”
The family often share updates from their busy lives, a celebration of Christmas 2024 was uploaded to the accounts of many Ramsay family members. The TV chef posed for a Christmas Eve snap wearing matching pyjamas with his family.
The dad-of-six captioned the post: “Merry Christmas, lots of love from our family, to yours G”. The photo showed the chef alongside his wife Tana, and children Tilly, Holly, Oscar and youngest Jesse. Holly’s fiancé Adam Peaty was in the family photo with his four-year-old son George.
In September 2023, Gordon told PEOPLE that his kids have “brought the emotion” out of him. Tana added: “He is, believe it or not, incredibly sensitive, he’s a crier.”
