A rug can really elevate the room with extra cosiness, but they don’t always come cheap, which is why it’s always best to look out for a sale when you can.

With that in mind, Dunelm has launched hundreds of reductions online, slashing the price on a ton of different rugs. The sale offers up to 50% off curtains, rugs, mirrors, electricals and more – you can check out the full sale here.

This particular Slumber Marl Shaggy Rug is priced from £17.50-£230.30 and comes in grey and natural colours. It has been rated a glowing 4.8 out of of 5 in the product reviews, being described as ‘easy to style’, made from supersoft shaggy pile for a thick luxurious feel.

On the Dunelm website, the full product descripition reads: “Scrumptiously soft, the Slumber Marl Shaggy Rug is a real treat for your feet! Made from a supersoft high pile, this rug will add a touch of cosiness to any living space. The hints of mottled colours throughout add style and depth to this semi-plain rug, making it an easy to style winner for any future home décor changes.”

There are multiple sizes available, with the smallest size of 60cm x 110cm priced at £17.50. The largest size is priced at £230.30 and measures 240cm x 340cm.

Elsewhere, Wayfair is selling this Miltrud Solid Colour Shag Area Rug for £27.99 that’s available in five different colours. It’s described as ‘plush’ and ‘stylish’ on the product description.

In the Dunelm reviews, one shopper said: “Rug was so well priced and looked amazing so I bought another.”

A second review read: “Lovely rug. Bought a cheaper version but didn’t like the colour. Got a refund and paid a bit extra to get this one. Love it. Quality rug and sumptuous. Remember to turn upside down for 24 hours to allow it to unfold out. Highly recommended. Staff were great too in the Catford Store. Very helpful.”

A third glowing review read: “Sumptuous rugs. I now have four over two different rooms. Excellent quality, thick pile. I have the neutral rugs which are flecked with areas of coffee/light brown colour which adds greatly to their appearance. The pile is thick enough to sink your feet into and easy to care for.”

However, not all shoppers were happy with how the rug was presented after delivery. This was reflected in one review which read: “Rug has a crease where it was folded in the bag that it was packaged in, which causes it to not lay flat when on the floor.”

You can purchase the rug from £17.50 here depending on size.
