Coronation Street spoilers for next week have revealed what happens next between Theo Silverton and Todd Grimshaw.
Viewers will remember that Theo, portrayed by James Cartwright, has been controlling and mistreating his partner Todd, portrayed by Gareth Pierce, for months.
In recent episodes, Theo even coerced Todd into marrying him by blindfolding him and taking him to a register office, where he was ambushed and pressured to say ‘I do’.
Fortunately, Theo has begun to be unmasked on the cobbles as Todd’s father figure and colleague, George Shuttleworth, saw right through the sinister builder.
Meanwhile, Gary Windass also challenged Theo and dismissed him from his position. As Theo becomes increasingly isolated on the cobbles, he’s been scheming to flee to Belfast with Todd in another concerning development, reports the Daily Star.
In spoilers for next week, Summer Spellman grows suspicious after Carl Webster revealed that someone else is behind Billy Mayhew’s death. Viewers will remember that Theo allowed Billy to die in the Corriedale car crash earlier this year.
Summer chooses to visit Todd and Theo’s flat, where she interrogates Theo about Billy’s final moments, but she is stunned when she learns Todd and Theo are relocating to Belfast. Later, Summer arranges to meet Todd for a drink and reveals how she now believes Theo killed Billy.
The following day, Sarah Platt informs George about Theo and Todd’s plans. Together with Summer, they head off to confront Todd but are thwarted by Theo who, through the ring doorbell, falsely claims they are already en route and Todd is paying for petrol.
Meanwhile, Todd convinces Theo to unlock the bedroom door and allow him to ring Sarah to corroborate his account, assuring him this will prove his trustworthiness. Todd successfully persuades Sarah that Theo’s version of events was accurate.
Later, Theo pretends he’s going for a shower while Todd completes his packing. With Theo occupied, Todd attempts to flee, but will he succeed in escaping the flat? Meanwhile, Sarah is at home speaking with Kit when the buzzer sounds — who could be at the door?
On Wednesday, in an emotional single-strand episode, Todd finally confronts Theo by reporting him for assault and reveals the months of abuse to DS Lisa Swain and Kit Green.
Meanwhile, Theo realises his time has run out and is frantic to leave Weatherfield, but as word of his violent controlling conduct spreads, is it too late for him to get away?
Later in the week, recognising they require the video footage from Theo’s tablet to bolster Todd’s case, Sarah approaches Theo’s van, opens the door and searches through Theo’s holdall. She discovers a tablet and is about to seize it, but could she be about to complicate matters?
Elsewhere, George offers to accompany Todd to the flat to collect his belongings, but when the door buzzer sounds, Todd is thrown into panic and flees the flat in tears.
Subsequently, everyone makes a fuss over Todd, but when Summer embraces him, Todd recoils in discomfort and she’s devastated to discover just how frail he has become.
