Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet first opened its doors in 1995 and will be transformed for an evening if celebration
Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet turns 30 next month and to celebrate it is set to host an ‘exclusive gig’ with a secret headliner. The designer outlet is “pulling out all the stops” with a ‘special gig’ headlined by a secret 2000s icon, a chart-topping artist with multiple top UK hits.
On Friday, June 6, the UK’s largest designer outlet, which is home to more than 165 brands, will be transformed for an evening of “live music, fashion nostalgia, and community spirit.”
There will also be an ‘exclusive music gig,’, headlined by a secret 2000s music act, for a one-off performance. The event will be completely free to customers on the day.
And for a lucky few, the experience will be even more memorable as a select group of VIPs from the local community will get the opportunity to meet the headline act in person. The anniversary gig will mark the outlet’s 30th anniversary, since it opened its doors in 1995.
Kenny Murray, General Manager at Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, said: “This anniversary is a moment to celebrate the rich history and vibrant future of Cheshire Oaks. We have evolved continuously over the last three decades, and now it’s time to celebrate in true style.
“Over our 30 years we’ve built a real sense of community that makes this centre special and we want to celebrate this milestone with the local area and people so close to our heart.”
“This summer’s music event, crowned by a secret headline act, promises to be a truly special experience, and a way that we can give back to the loyal customers who have trusted us to bring them the latest fashion trends since the 90s, we can’t wait to enjoy it with them.”

Today, Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet remains a popular shopping destination as the country’s biggest designer outlet, but when it opened for the first time back on March 25, 1995 it began life with just 24 stores, taking up 101,000sq ft of space. That is a far cry from the 140-plus stores and 20 food partners it now boasts on a site which is four times the size when it launched.
