The TV chef was back on the screen for another instalment of the popular culinary programme and was joined by guest Anita Rani as well as chefs Scott Hollsworth and Sophie Wyburd
BBC Saturday Kitchen host Matt Tebbutt paused the latest episode as he shared baby news with viewers.
He was back on our screens for another edition of the much-loved cookery show, accompanied by special guest Anita Rani and chefs Scott Hollsworth and Sophie Wyburd. Meanwhile, Helen McGinn was on hand to provide her knowledge on wines, and Jordan Bailey was there to exalt burgers.
Yet, as the programme kicked off, Matt had some wonderful news to announce to everyone in the studio and those tuning in at home.
Excitedly, he exclaimed: “Er Sophie, first of all, congratulations Sophie’s pregnant!”

Following his announcement, the entire studio erupted with applause as Matt gestured towards Sophie. Joking about her noticeable baby bump, he commented: “You can just about see it!” reports the Express.
To which Sophie cheerily responded: “Just about!”
Matt carried on enquiring whether Sophie had felt any “punches” from the little one yet, to which she said: “First little punch yesterday, so I’ll see if they’ll send you a punch later.”
With a warm smile, Matt then said: “Well, listen. Lovely to have you here!”
Sophie, 31, cooks, writes recipes, and presents, all from her South London base. Her varied career in the culinary world covers restaurant cooking, food styling, and directing the food team at Mob. She currently delights her wide following with homemaking, comfort food through social media and her newsletter.
Recently, the up-and-coming sensation took to Instagram to announce her pregnancy, alongside a beautiful snapshot showing off her bump.
She thrilled her followers with a heartwarming announcement on social media, exclaiming: “Sausage Pasta Wyburd-Kumar, growing steadily in my tummy and landing with us this autumn!!
“P.S. writing recipes for a living when for 3 months all you want to eat is spinach and ricotta tortellini is no joke, but the little person in there will be very much worth it I’m sure.”
The replies soon flooded in with adoration and warm wishes, including comments like: “Awwww, congratulations love! !” and “Amazing news Sophie, congratulations.”
Another well-wisher joined in with the chorus of congratulations: “Oh Sophie, that’s such wonderful news! Congratulations to you both.”
