‘Liverpool to break record for Isak’
Liverpool are, reportedly, eyeing up a swoop for Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak as Slot looks to upgrade his attack at Anfield – even further!
Give Me Sport indicates that the Premier League champions are “refusing” to give up their pursuit for the Sweden international, who has scored 62 goals in 109 appearances since joining the Magpies in 2022.
The report states that Liverpool are ready to shatter the new British transfer record, which will soon be the £116m they have agreed with Leverkusen to sign Wirtz, to bring Isak to Anfield.
Isak, 25, has three years remaining on his current deal at St James’ Park.
Chiesa and Nunez ‘agree’ to Napoli
Italian journalist Gerardo Fasano claims both Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa have agreed to move to Napoli ahead of the 2025/2026 season.
Fasano suggests that the Liverpool duo, who were largely surplus to requirements as Liverpool won the Premier League last term, are ready to join Antonio Conte’s side and kick-start their careers.
However, the report also adds that Liverpool are hoping to use the duo as part of a potential deal to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who has fallen out of favour in Naples.
He spent last season on loan at Galatasaray with plenty of top clubs chasing him this summer, too.
