Nicole Morrison put a post on Facebook asking for help to find the two teenagers
A Liverpool mum wants to thank two strangers after what happened to her teenage son. Nicole Morrison’s son Lucas was travelling home from school when he accidentally broke his own arm.
The 12-year-old had just finished for the day at Birkdale High School when he came off his bike at the the top of Hillside Bridge, not far from the train station. Nicole, a mum-of-two who lives in Birkdale, said what happened next was a “lovely” moment.
She told the ECHO: “Lucas went to mount the pavement from the road and didn’t lift his tyre up high enough. So he’s caught the curb and gone off his bike.

“He hit his arm and these two boys saw him fall and ran straight across the road to help him. They picked up his bike, got his phone out of his pocket and called me and waited with him until I got there. They offered to walk his bike home for him, they made sure he was all okay. They were so polite. They were brilliant, the two went above and beyond.”
Nicole said she took Lucas home and “knew something wasn’t right” with his arm. She said: “It was so swollen. When he was even moving his fingers, he was in agony. I took him to Ormskirk’s children hospital and they could tell the arm was broken before he even had an X-ray.”
Lucas is now in a full-arm cast and will be for four to six weeks. Nicole wants to find the two boys who helped her son. She believes they couldn’t be any older than 15.
She added: “When I got there, they were brilliant. They were so polite to me. They asked if they could do anything else to help because they were concerned about Lucas. You always hear negative things about teenage boys but this was far from that – it was just so lovely.
“They went above and beyond. There were full-grown adults who just kept driving on by and didn’t care. I’ve gone out and got them some Christmas chocolates and a thank-you card for when I do find them.”
