The two were emotional ahead of the BBC show’s season finale
Strictly Come Dancing’s Sarah Hadland has issued a heartfelt tribute to Vito Coppola. The two will take to the dancefloor for the final time in tonight’s season finale of the BBC show.
Sarah and Vito will perform a Show Dance to ‘Cabaret’ by Metropole Orkest, an American Smooth to ‘Proud’ by Heather Small, chosen by the judges, and their couples’ choice Cha Cha to ‘Like a Prayer’ by Madonna. Sarah, who is renowned for her role in Miranda, admitted she is not ready for her Strictly journey to end.
The 53-year-old told Radio Times: “When somebody asks you what it’s like, there’s so much you want to say. I keep coming back to the same thing. I feel like I’m living in Technicolor, and then when it’s over, I’m going to be living in black and white. I’m really conscious of that.
“At the same time, it’s a lot, but it’s like you’ve jumped on a speeding circus train, and you know those films, Madagascar, when they all get on this circus train? I feel like that, like we’ve jumped on this, and it’s magical and incredible.”

She added: “Part of you feels like, ‘Could I just hop off and have a spa week and just eat food and relax and be calm?’ But you know that the train’s gonna go, and you do not want to get off that train.”
Sarah and Vito have formed a strong bond during their journey on the show. Fans were emotional last night as they appeared on their final edition of It Takes Two together.
The two shared a joint post on social media as they walked down the corridor to the studio as Vito said: “Let’s go Trilly…let’s walk this corridor together for one last time”
Sarah took to the comments and responded: “Love you Vito Pan.” Fans were emotional after the heartfelt exchange.
Rhiannydd said: “Stop it right now. Already cried enough at your interview!!” Chloe added: “Stop it I’m in tears right now I love you guys so much.”
Sarah and Vito have proven to be one of the favourites this season with the public as they have yet to compete in the dance off. The only other couple who haven’t had to compete in the dance is the overwhelming favourites to win, Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell.
However, the bookies have seen a dramatic turnaround as they have seen a wave of support for JB Gill and Lauren Oakley, who are now second favourites to win. A spokesperson from Betfred has described this as a blow to Sarah and Vito’s hopes of lifting the glitterball.
Betfred’s Kayley Cornelius said: “Former JLS star JB Gill has staged a remarkable comeback. Once tipped for elimination last week, he’s now expected to take the runner-up spot, surging ahead in the betting markets at 1/16.
“This shift spells trouble for Sarah Hadland, who had held onto second place but has now tumbled to odds of 25/1. Even so, she’s still projected to secure a place in the Top 3. For Tasha Ghouri, it’s been a significant setback. Previously the favourite to win, her chances of even finishing in the Top 3 now look slim, with her odds drifting to 33/1.” The ‘Strictly Come Dancing 2024 final airs on tonight at 6pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
