Chris and Dianne will not be part of the upcoming Strictly tour despite winning the BBC show
Strictly: Moment Chris McCausland is crowned 2024 winner
Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell may have just clinched the Strictly Come Dancing title, but their ‘split’ has already been announced.
The pair will not be participating in the show’s forthcoming live tour, much to the disappointment of their numerous fans who supported them with their votes.
Throughout their journey on Strictly, Chris and Dianne captured the nation’s heart and admiration. They entered the final as one of the most favoured couples in the show’s history, with betting odds indicating that they were the clear favourites to win – one bookmaker had them at 1/18 odds-on favourites to triumph.
Despite being the obvious frontrunners, champions Chris and Dianne still had a challenging final ahead of them. Like the other three couples, they had to deliver three distinct dances in the ballroom.

They kicked off with their Couple’s Choice, selected for them by the judges, followed by their Show Dance, and finally scored their first-ever perfect 40 with their third and final number – a waltz to You’ll Never Walk Alone.
Both Chris and Dianne were overcome with emotion when the music ceased on their final performance. This emotional response might be linked to the fact that unlike Sarah and Vito, JB and Lauren, and Tasha and Aljaz, they won’t be joining the tour, reports Chronicle Live.
This leaves the show in the unusual and undesirable situation where the winners are completely absent from the tour.
As Tess introduced Chris and Dianne’s waltz, she mentioned it being their ‘last dance’, a sentiment echoed by Claudia Winkleman who noted that while it was their ‘last dance’, their friendship would undoubtedly endure beyond the show.
Chris’ absence from the Strictly tour is due to all the arena dates conflicting with his own stand-up performances, which have seen him add more dates due to the overwhelming demand for tickets.
