There is one test centre where passing is much more likely
There are a few spots in Liverpool where you’re actually more likely to pass your driving test the first time round. Law Trucks have created their Driving Test Report, which helped rank test centres in Merseyside based on their average pass rate over a year period.
Research on GOV.UK shows that, on average, it takes people around 45 hours of driving lessons with a driving instructor plus 22 hours of private practice to pass their test – and that’s just if you pass first time around. While some learner drivers can take off the L-plates after their first attempt, others need more than five chances before passing, which can quickly add up.
The data around each test centre’s pass rate in Merseyside was taken from the GOV.UK, which took an average from April 2023 – March 2024.
