Cordon outside the Delta hotel after stabbing
Police have cordoned off a city centre car park following reports of a stabbing. Police and a forensics team were called to the scene at One Queen Square this evening, Monday December 9.
A cordon is currently in place outside the Delta hotel in the car park. Witnesses reported four ambulances, a rapid response vehicle and four police cars at the scene. The force incident manager for Merseyside Police confirmed a man has been “seriously assaulted”.
It is understood that the incident happened at around 10.30pm. Forensics could be seen going in and out of the hotel. It is not known whether the hotel has been closed to members of the public or not. Merseyside Police is investigating and will be releasing an update on the incident.
