People of a certain age who grew up in the city will no doubt remember the main grottos that our city used to have in the likes of Blacklers, TJ Hughes and Lewis’s. During December, a trip to town would be incomplete without a visit to these sites and queuing up to ask Father Christmas what must have toy we wanted for Christmas.
Sadly, it’s been years since these grottos as we knew them were open. But the magical moments experienced by Liverpool kids still live on in our memories and photographs.
