The pianist spoke out after his sell-out concert in Liverpool
Brad Kella was flooded with support after his first live Liverpool show. The 23-year-old, who now lives in Fazakerley, has shot to stardom since he won season two of the hit Channel 4 show this summer.
Brad was raised in the care system and his inspiring story has captured the hearts of the nation. He praised foster parents Eve and Frank Kilmartin for turning his life around after a difficult upbringing.
A major moment for the pianist came last Friday when he performed his first live show in his hometown at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. Brad was given a standing ovation as he performed powerful pieces of original classical music such as Home To Me and New Beginnings.

Yesterday, Brad spoke for the first time on social media after the concert. In an Instagram post, Brad said: “@liverpool_philharmonic , last night you made my biggest dreams come true.
“When I was a young lad, I played piano for hours and hours each day with only the hope and dreams of playing live to people. Not only did I do that, but I played in the iconic Liverpool Philharmonic in front of a sold out crowd in my hometown.
“Liverpool, you have supported me from day one and there will never be a moment I’m not proud to be a scouser. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and I’ll see you all soon x.”
Brad was flooded with support in the comments section as many admitted they were moved to tears by his performance at the famous Hope Street venue. One said: “Amazing performance, I was moved to tears but wow Brad when you played Levels! You are an inspiration to all. I wish you all the luck in the world and Liverpool is so proud of you.”
A second fan said: “One of the best nights I’ve ever had in the Philharmonic and I’ve been going there for 50 years, you made me cry from the start.” A third added: “You were absolutely amazing Brad, definitely worth the 5 hour journey to Liverpool! You made us laugh and cry and I didn’t want it to end.”
