Jimmy has been involved in one of the soap’s biggest storylines
Emmerdale fans are relieved as Jimmy King has finally realised what his nephew Tom King is really like. Tom has subjected Belle Dingle to months of physical and mental abuse in what has been one of the soap’s biggest storylines of the year.
In last night’s episode, the downfall of the Emmerdale villain began to slowly unfold. Tom was arrested and charged following new evidence of the abuse Belle had endured when in a relationship with him, found on a tablet Tom had previously tried to dispose of.
Viewers of the soap have had to be patient as they watched Tom avoid punishment for his crimes despite Belle reporting them to the police earlier this year. The case came to a standstill without sufficient evidence and even village residents were reluctant to believe the horrific abuse that had been going on under their noses.

In tonight’s episode, Belle was reassured by her family including Chas, Cain and Charity who all told her he will be going down for his actions. And a reluctant Jimmy King discussed the charge of his nephew with wife Nicola. He told her: “I don’t know what to think if he did it and everything Belle said is true well that means I’m complicit.”
Nicola made clear to Jimmy that the rumours are true, to which he responded: “I think everything he put her through, everything that I put her through, I defended him and called her crazy. I believed him above everyone.” In an emotional admission Jimmy confessed he has to apologise to Belle.
Fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to celebrate the downfall of Tom King and praise Jimmy for finally realising the truth. One fan said: “At last! The light bulb has finally gone off in Jimmy’s head! #Emmerdale” and another added “Yes Jimmy, finally!”
