A man in his 90s has been taken to hospital following a crash in Litherland. Merseyside Police cordoned off Sefton Road in Litherland on Monday, November 25 after a crash, which involved a North West Ambulance rapid response vehicle.
Officers were called at 9.25pm to reports of a collision involving the paramedic vehicle, which was on an emergency call and a Honda Jazz. The Honda had also collided with a parked Ford Transit.
The driver of the Honda, a man in his 90s, suffered a leg and chest injury and was taken to hospital following the incident. The driver of the rapid response vehicle was not injured.

A cordon was put in place while enquiries into the incident was dealt with. Photos taken at the scene by the ECHO show a badly damaged silver vehicle and a group of officers crowded around in the road. A police sign and traffic cones have been placed along Sefton Road to alert drivers to the road closure.
