The Tyrone Dobbs star showed he is just like his onscreen counterpart with the act of kindness
I’m A Celebrity fans were emotional after Alan Halsall’s incredible gesture on tonight’s show. The Coronation Street star has travelled Down Under to compete on this season of TV’s toughest entertainment challenge.
The Tyrone Dobbs star is one of 12 campmates competing to be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle. Maura Higgins entered the camp as a late addition and celebrated her 34th birthday on Monday’s show.
The show promised a birthday treat to mark the occasion, which the contestants speculated could be something positive like a party in the camp. However, true to I’m A Celebrity form, it was another challenge as the contestants were each given tickets to board the Fright Bus.
The challenge gave celebrities the chance to win a piece of luggage each from the luggage rack, described to contain holiday essentials, and even a tasty treat. Maura was nervous about the trial as her birthday looked like it could end in tatters.

However, Alan stepped in to offer words of reassurance as he said if he wins a treat and Maura doesn’t, he would give her his prize. Alan’s onscreen counterpart is renowned for his kind soul and viewers were thrilled to find out Alan is just the same.

Alannah commented: “I hope Alan knows how much of a treasure he is.” Emma-Louise posted: “Alan is actually the sweetest I love him.”
Another user said: “Alan is so cute I might actually cry.” Abigail posted, alongside a crying emoji: “Alan offering to win a treat for Maura.”
