The former Everton striker is concerned he could have put his foot in it
Wayne Rooney is worried he might be in trouble as his I’m A Celebrity wish came true. The former Everton FC striker is proudly supporting his wife, Coleen Rooney, as she competes in the Australian jungle.
The 38-year-old Croxteth native has been at the centre of the action in a dramatic few days in the jungle. She thrilled fans as she displayed the detective skills that earned her the Wagatha Christie moniker when she rumbled the newcomer’s lie about the Junkyard camp in yesterday’s show.
Despite the mum-of-four’s heavy involvement in the last couple of episodes, she still hadn’t been voted for a Bushtucker Trial. Plymouth Argyle manager Rooney sprung into action today to correct that wrong as he shared a message with his 16.7m followers on X.
He said: “Proud of @ColeenRoo on @imacelebrity she’s doing great. Me and the boys would love to see her doing a trial and we know she’d want to put herself to the test. If you can download the #ImACeleb app and let’s get voting!”

The wish of Rooney and his four children – Kai, Kit, Klay and Cass – came true when Coleen was voted to be in the Absolute Carnage trial in tomorrow’s episode. Rooney was concerned he may have put his foot in it after he shared another update after the annoucement at the end of the episode.
He said: “Think I could be in trouble here. Good luck @ColeenRoo.” Coleen will compete in the challenge, alongside Dean McCullough, who was at the centre of the drama on the latest episode.
Dean tried to get McFly star Danny Jones to give up his bed in the main camp, refused to leave his bed for the the Reverend Richard Coles and snapped at Alan Halsall towards the end of episode. As per camp rules, Dean needed to go and help Jane Moore collect firewood.
Viewers were shocked and suggested he could be the first to leave the show once the elimination stages start. Kiera said: “Me voting to save everyone except Dean when we can start voting people out of this show”
Kay commented: “When can we start voting for Dean to leave asking for a friend” Amanda said: “When can we vote out because dean needs to leave.” I’m a Celebrity continues on ITV and ITV tomorrow
