The independant bakery will replace Midnight Delivery
Independent business Pastille Bakery is opening a new dessert bar in the Baltic Market. The bakery opened on Gibraltar Row in May and often welcomes lengthy queues of pastry fans. Pastille Dessert Bar will offer all of the same treats fans have come to love including brownies, cereal milk cheesecake, doughnuts, and traditional baked goods.
An opening date for Pastille Dessert Bar is yet to be announced. A brief message online teasing Pastille Dessert Bar’s arrival says: “Their mission is simple: to delight Liverpool with innovative, handcrafted creations that has set them apart as one of the city’s finest artisan bakeries.”

Pastille Bakery was set up in the kitchen of founder Jamie Heffey’s home. With the help of his partner and mum, the three took their baked goods to markets and pop-ups where they noticed demand was high. Pastille Bakery opened its first city centre shop shortly after.
The Baltic Market said farewell to its founding dessert bar, Midnight Delivery, in October. Midnight Delivery became a staple of the Baltic Market acting as the sole dessert business within the premises since launching in 2017.
Midnight Delivery was founded in Liverpool in 2014. The company has gone on to launch five outlets across the North West including Smithdown Road, Bootle and Salford, with delivery available on Uber Eats, Just Eat and Deliveroo.
