Alan has been flooded with support from Corrie stars
I’m A Celeb contestant Alan Halsall may have temporarily swapped the cobbles for the Australian jungle but his co-stars are still watching along and cheering him on. In a video uploaded by the official Coronation Street account last week a number of supportive messages were sent Alan’s way.
Playing the role of Tyrone Dobbs on the cobbles for 26 years, Alan is a familiar face with millions across the country. Liam McCheyne who plays Dylan Wilson in Weatherfield said: “All the best for the jungle, mate. You’ll absolutely smash it, have a great time and I’ll see you when you’re back. Take care.”
Steve McDonald star, Simon Gregson added: “I hope you win, mate. I hope you’re going to be the new king of the jungle. I reckon you will be, I love you loads absolutely smash it. Can’t wait for you to come back home.”

The most recent message of support comes from Bella Flanagan, who plays Alan’s on-screen daughter Hope Stape on the ITV soap. Reposting an image from the official I’m A Celebrity page to her own account, the actress said “cheer up Alan”. The photo showed Dean, Oti and Danny all singing in camp, alongside a sad looking Alan in the Bush Telegraph.
The caption of the I’m A Celeb post read: “And Alan thought the critters would be his toughest trial.” The camp went hungry yesterday, November 20, as GK Barry and Dean failed to collect any stars to bring back to camp. Despite not having any tea to look forward to, the celebrities offered their support to the pair for sticking with the trial until the timer had ran out.
Some fans were sympathetic and applauded the efforts of the radio presenter and TikTok star. One annoyed fan said: “The trial is ridiculous!!! Its impossible to do.” While another said: “Early days but does feel like more effort has been put into the trials soo far.” In tonight’s episode the public have chosen Dean to face his fears in tonight’s Bushtucker trial.
