The actress has sent well wishes to her older sister
Emmerdale star Amy Walsh has sent a supportive message to her sister as she celebrates a big day. The Amy Metcalfe star is the sibling of Girls Aloud singer, Kimberley Walsh.
Sharing an adorable picture to her Instagram story of Kimberley reading a bed time story, the actress said: “Happy birthday to the best sister and auntie in the world. We love you soooooo much @KimberleyWalshOfficial.”
Kimberley turns 43 today and is the older sister of the Emmerdale actress. While the pair are not often pictured together, they share a close bond and last year Amy spoke fondly of her sister Kimberley, with OK! saying she’s “really proud”. When she joined Emmerdale she consulted with Kimberley on how to best act out Tracy’s labour scenes adding she was ‘brilliant’ with her advice.

Earlier this year Girls Aloud thrilled fans with a critically-acclaimed sell-out tour, their first in 11 years. Nadine Coyle, Cheryl, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts began The Girls Aloud Show on May 17, 2024 in Dublin and ended on June 30, 2024. Reuniting was one of Sarah Harding’s wishes for the group, she died at the age of 39 in September 2021 after she was diagnosed with terminal breast cancer.
A special show was recorded at London’s 02 during the tour called ‘The Girls Aloud Show: Live at The O2’. The live show saw the group play to over 300,000 people and was shown set to be shown on ITV 1 for the first time on Sunday, November 17. The full extended arena show will also be available to stream on ITVX.
