Merseyside Police said the woman’s death is being treated as unexplained
Police have issued an update after a woman was found dead inside a house. Merseyside Police previously said they were called to St Mary’s Grove in Walton, however confirmed today the correct address was Walton Village.
It followed a call from paramedics at North West Ambulance Service at around 2.25am on Monday, November 18 who reported a woman in her 30s had been found inside a house on Walton Village. She was pronounced dead a short time later.
Merseyside Police said a 47-year-old man from Walton was arrested on suspicion of murder. In an update today, Tuesday, November 19, a spokesperson for the force confirmed the man has been conditionally bailed until February 14.

The woman’s death is currently being treated as unexplained, police said, and her family are being supported by specialist officers. Detective Chief Inspector Andy McCourt said: “This are the early stages of our investigation and we are looking to establish the circumstances into what we are treating as an unexplained death at the current time. The victim’s family are being supported by specialist officers as these enquiries continue.
“I’d urge anyone who has information to come forward at the earliest opportunity, either via @MerPolCC, 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, with reference 24000975425.”
