It is believed the man suffered a medical episode
Floral tributes have been left for a man who died after crashing into a wall. Emergency services were called to the scene at Brickwall Green, Sefton Village at around 3.20pm on Monday, October 28.
The driver of the car, a Ford Ka, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. A road closure was in place from Brooms Cross Road to Bridges Lane and Brickwall Lane at the junction with Lunt Road while the incident was dealt with.
In an update today, a spokesperson for Merseyside Police confirmed the driver of the car, a man in his 60s, had died. Police also confirmed it was a one car crash and it is believed the man suffered a medical episode. The matter has been referred to the coroner, police said.

Several bunches of flowers have been left at the scene near to where the crash happened on Brickwall Green. The road was closed for several hours after the crash and a large cordon was put in place.
Tributes have also been left on Facebook. One user wrote: “Thoughts and prayers are with all your family and friends at this devastating time.”
Another wrote: “How sad. Thinking of his poor family at this sad time.” A third added: “So sad rip Angel.”
