Zoe’s Place have written a letter to Liverpool and beyond
Zoe’s Place has written an open letter to the city and beyond thanking everyone for their support in the fight to save the hospice. Zoe’s Place was officially saved earlier this month after an enormous £5 million was raised in just 30 days.
Here is the open letter from Zoe’s Place.
“Your support of our fundraising campaign has been nothing short of incredible. From the schools, nurseries, businesses and trusts and communities who have got involved. To the comedians and musicians lighting up the stages, to the Olympians, MMA fighters and football legends, each and every one of you have played a part.
“Tens of thousands of people have supported us and we are truly grateful. You have amazed us all with your creativity and generosity. Whether it’s through bracelet making, adding £1 on the bill or fitness challenges or throwing some incredible parties, you have really shown us how much our community cares.
“The walk to save Zoe’s Place was another shining example of what happens when we come together. Step by step, mile by mile, united in a common cause.
“We can’t thank West Derby MP Ian Byrne enough for his unwavering dedication and support. A special mention to Adam Rowe whose support and special efforts helped get this campaign off the ground.
“A huge thank you to Antony whose incredible determination saw him take on a series of runs raising over £25,000 inspired by the care given to his sister, Amelia, his compassion and dedication has influenced so many.
“To the families that have stood by us, shared their time, gone above and beyond, you are the heart of our campaign. Your courage, kindness and resilience inspires us every single day. We are so grateful to the fire services who rolled up their sleeves for car washes and to Merseyside Police for their creative fundraising efforts.
“To the media who have helped spread the word far and wide and to the local businesses who continue to step up time and time again. To everyone who has tagged, commented, shared or posted on social media, you’ve helped amplify our message in ways we could never have imagined.
“To those who gave anonymously, we may not know who you are but your kindness has not gone unnoticed. We wish we could thank every single one of you personally from the smallest act to the grandest gesture. Every bit of support has brought us closer to making a real difference.
“This is what makes our community so special, standing together and looking out for one another. Thank you for being a part of something incredible. Here’s to the future.
“On behalf of all the children, families and all the staff at Liverpool Zoe’s Place, we would all like to say, thank you.”
