Loose Women: Nadia gets emotional as daughter sends birthday message
Loose Women’s Nadia Sawalha was visibly moved during Friday’s show as she celebrated a huge milestone live on television.
The episode on Friday was dedicated to Nadia, who was celebrating her 60th birthday on the 18th of November, with the panel showering her with surprises throughout the programme.
The emotional peak came when Nadia’s husband, Mark Adderley, and their 21-year-old daughter Maddie delivered touching tributes via video messages.
Maddie’s message was particularly moving as she said: “I love you so much and I just want you to know how grateful I am to have somebody like you in my life, let alone as my mother. I am so thankful for all the hugs, all the advice, all the times that you’ve been there for me and supported me. All the times you’ve told me the truth even when I’ve been not wanting to hear it.

“I just really want you to feel how loved you are today. You are an amazing woman and I hope to be a quarter of the woman you are when I fully grow up. You inspire me every single day and I just hope you see how truly incredible you really are. I just love you so much and just have a beautiful birthday and yeah, I love you”, reports the Mirror.
After hearing these words, Nadia couldn’t help but tear up, leading co-host Kaye Adams to quip: “We knew we’d get you to cry at the end!”
Overwhelmed by the heartfelt videos, Nadia expressed her gratitude: “That was really beautiful, thank you! There’s no better present is there in the world.”
Nadia beamed: “Maddie, she was born on Christmas Day, so no Christmas present will ever be better than that! To hear that, with all the worries we have as parents, that is very beautiful.”
In another touching moment, Nadia’s sister Dina appeared on the show with a birthday cake she had baked especially for the occasion. Dina also shared some heartfelt words about her sister.
On Twitter, now X, viewers expressed their shock at Nadia’s age, with many commenting on her youthful appearance. One fan wrote: “I refuse to believe Nadia Sawalha is 60. Nope. #LooseWomen” while another posted: “To be fair to Nadia, she’s wearing very well for 60. I thought she was about 50. #LooseWomen.”
