The Bethany Platt star was hailed after the update
Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon was flooded with support as she marked a special update. The soap star is renowned for her role as Bethany Platt in Weatherfield.
It has been a turbulent time for Bethany on the Cobbles since she returned to the show this year. The character is enduring a difficult time after a cosmetic procedure in Turkey went drastically wrong.
Bethany travelled overseas to undergo liposuction at a new facility in Turkey. However, she ended up in critical condition after contracting sepsis as a result of a botched procedure, leading to her living with a permanent stoma.
Away from the screen, Lucy’s life is fortunately less dramatic. She is currently pregnant with her second child and regularly shares updates from her happy life alongside her partner, Ryan Ledson, who plays for Preston North End.

She has taken to the social media platform to reveal she was in a celebratory mood as she turned 29 yesterday. She shared a snap with her 587,000 followers alongside the caption: “Spiritually enlightened at 29.”
Lucy’s Corrie co-stars also took to the social media platform to wish her well after the update. Julia Goulding, who plays Shona Platt, said: “Happy Birthday sweetheart.”
Sally Carman, who plays Abi Webster, added: “If anyone deserves a Colin the caterpillar it’s you.” Tanisha Gorey, who plays Asha Alahan, commented: “She be glowing”
Former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan said: “Happy birthday beautiful” Coronation Street star Colson Smith shared a behind the scenes snap of the two as he said: “Happy birthday bro.” Lucy responded: “love.”
In September, Lucy revealed the exciting news she is pregnant with a baby girl. She shared an Instagram reel of her and Ledson’s reaction to the exciting news with the caption: “Complete.”
In a previous interview, Lucy has explained how she has been forever changed by motherhood. She told our sister site, OK!: “We can’t really remember life before Sonny – it feels like a blur.
“Sonny is the image of Ryan, especially when he’s grumpy! He’s too young for us to know his personality just yet, but he seems quite chilled overall. He only really cries when he needs his nappy changing, which Ryan has taken on as his nighttime job – he’s become a pro nappy changer!”
Ledson comes from Liverpool and made his way to become a professional footballer through the Everton youth system. The midfielder joked the couple agreed on Sonny for a name after he ruled out a number of quirkier ideas.
He said: “When you’re from Liverpool, there was just no chance – he would get ribbed non stop. As the weeks were going on in the pregnancy, we were calling him Sonny.”
