Two males wearing all black clothes and balaclavas were reported riding away from the scene
A teenager was taken to hospital after he was stabbed in the arm in New Ferry. Merseyside Police were called to Merseybank Road shortly after 12.25pm on Saturday (November 9) following reports a male was attacked and had arm injuries.
The victim, a 15-year-old boy, was taken to hospital for treatment to two stab wounds to his arm. His condition is described as stable. Two males wearing all black clothes and balaclavas were reported to have ridden away from the scene on electric bikes onto Napier Road.
A Section 60 Order has been introduced giving officers enhanced powers to stop and search individuals and minimise further incidents. The order will be in place until 4am on Sunday, November 10.

Enquiries remain ongoing with witnesses being spoken to and CCTV opportunities being explored. Detective Inspector Paula Jones said: “Our enquires into this incident are in the very early stages, but based on what we know so far we do believe it was a targeted attack. Knife crime has absolutely no place on the streets of Wirral or anywhere in Merseyside, and our work to disrupt the activities of those who use, carry and store weapons goes on every single day of the year.
“Officers will be out tonight across New Ferry and into Rock Ferry to ensure there is a highly visible police presence to reassure communities and swiftly deal with anyone we suspect is intent on committing crime. The Section 60 order gives officers on the ground the ability to stop and search people suspected of carrying weapons or planning any criminality.
“We will always seek to take positive action when we have information about people who are storing, carrying or using weapons. So if you want to help us prevent our young people from falling victim to knife crime, give us information and we will do the rest.”
