The legendary DJ is hosting a weekend-long party at the Minehead site
A group of mates were surprised to be greeted by legendary DJ Fatboy Slim when they arrived at Butins. Carl Woodsford, 45, and his old university friends arrived at the holiday camp in Minehead for the DJ’s weekend-long party, which runs until Monday, November 11. But despite booking tickets for the Butlin’s weekender, the group didn’t expect to meet Fatboy Slim in person upon their arrival.
Carl, who works in technology and travelled to the Minehead site from London, said: “He was on the entrance checking everyone in. It was a bit surprising and super cool/ He was being very professional. It was a bit surreal.” Carl said Fatboy Slim was only there to check in a few cars and they were one of the lucky ones.
He said: “He signed the map with the introduction information about Butlin’s. We’re looking forward to the weekend. It will be a mad, crazy one.”

Butlin’s Minehead is hosting ‘Fatboy Slim Presents All Back To Minehead’ this weekend – an event where 6,000 revellers will enjoy live DJ sets, dancing, games, pool parties and fancy dress.
Headliners for the weekend are Eats Everything, Ewan McVicar, Groove Armada and Todd Terry.
Fatboy Slim, real name Norman Cook, has recently been spending ‘more time than ever, with his ex-wife Zoe Ball, following their split almost a decade ago.
BBC Radio 2 presenter Ball, 53, sparked concern after recently taking unexplained long leave from her breakfast show slot. During that time, she was pictured out and about with DJ Cook, 61, who is professionally known as Fatboy Slim.
