Latest Liverpool transfer news and gossip as Mohamed Salah’s future continues to be the subject of speculation
Mohamed Salah’s market value continues to change as his future at Liverpool remains uncertain. The Egyptian has been showing some of his best form in a Reds shirt this season, with 16 goal involvements in all competitions across 15 appearances.
It was on Saturday that Salah scored his ninth goal of the campaign with the winning strike in the 2-1 victory over Brighton in the Premier League. The 32-year-old’s goal helped Liverpool climb above Manchester City to the top of the league table following their defeat away at Bournemouth.
Amid Salah’s impressive form, his contract situation currently remains unresolved. His current deal is set to expire at the end of the season, and he would be able to negotiate a pre-contract agreement in January with clubs outside England to leave Anfield on a free transfer next summer.

Talks remain underway with between Liverpool and Salah’s representatives, but for the time being the Egyptian’s future remains unclear. As a result of that uncertainty, Transfermarkt have used that reality to affect their market value for the Reds star.
Salah is currently valued at €55 million (£46 million) on the site, which marks a dramatic decrease compared to recent years. The figure was €65 million (£55 million) in December last year, marking approximately a 20 per cent drop within 12 months.
In fact, Salah’s market value has dropped every year since 2021, with the valuation in December of that year at €100 million (£84 million), according to Transfermarkt. It remains to be seen if Salah’s value will increase in the coming months, but as the weeks go on with no contract update, then the valuation seems likely to only head in one direction.
