Coronation Street fans are sure they’ve rumbled what really happened to DS Swain after a flashback during tonight’s episode
Coronation Street fans are convinced they know what really happened to DS Swain.
At the end of tonight’s episode, Swain became one of the suspects in Joel’s murder when a flashback showed her brandishing a crowbar. Whilst in her bathroom, a number of bruises could be seen on her back and a flashback showed that she confronted someone in a car and tried to stop them whilst brandishing a crowbar.
However, the flashback stopped short of revealing who was behind the wheel and what happened next.
Fans of the ITV soap will know that Joel Deering was killed by someone with a crowbar – but several other people are also in the frame including Dee-Dee Bailey and her relatives Michael and Ed, as well as bad boy Mason.
However, could Swain now have something to do with Joel’s death after she was seen with a crow bar? Fans are speculating Swain did have an altercation with Joel – but it wasn’t her who killed him.
One fan wrote: “I’m confused why hasn’t Lisa told anyone she was hit by car?? #Corrie,” whilst another shared: “I think she was ran over as the car was revving & she was saying stop over again #Corrie.”
A third said: “She’s been ran over 100% by Joel?!!!!” whilst another wrote: “Was Lisa attacked by Joel???x.” A fifth added: “Lisa gets hit/skimmed by a car and she lies to Betsy because that’s how Becky died.”
Away from the Joel storyline, things are heating up for DS Swain and Carla.
Speaking of why Lisa acts the way she does, Vicky Myers explained: “She is petrified of opening up. She’s petrified of loving somebody and even getting into a relationship again. Because again, she doesn’t trust herself, and we’ve already seen with her saying that she doesn’t need any complications. That’s absolutely true, but she’s meaning it from herself.
“She doesn’t want that confusion. She’s already dealing with enough, and she’s a person that would fall in love. She doesn’t just go on one-night stands, it’s not a frivolous thing. She will fall in love, and she knows that about herself, because she feels things really personally and deeply, and she just doesn’t want to go there right now. But who knows? Maybe the feelings will become too strong.”
