Strictly Come Dancing professional Johannes Radebe was left in tears after he and his celebrity partner Montell Douglas were awarded the highest Cha Cha score of the series
Strictly: Johannes emotional after judges’ scores
Strictly Come Dancing’s Johannes Radebe was visibly moved during the latest instalment of the BBC favourite.
The dance floor was alight with talent on Saturday evening as the celebs stepped up their game, hoping to dazzle the judges with their latest performances.
In the previous week, Jamie Borthwick and Montell Douglas were the talk of the town with almost perfect scores of 39, sharing the top spot on the leaderboard.
In contrast, Paul Merson scored a lowly 19, which led to his departure from the show.
But as a new week dawns, all bets are off, with the stars gearing up to impress with new routines.

Ex-Gladiator Montell and her professional partner Johannes Radebe were once again the centre of attention, wowing the judges with their performance.
Their Cha Cha to “Love Potion No. 9” by The Clovers was a hit, and host Claudia Winkleman didn’t hold back, calling it “absolutely brilliant”.
When the scores came in, they totalled an impressive 35, thanks to three nines and one eight. As they celebrated their score, Claudia announced: “That is the highest Cha Cha of this series.”
Emotions peaked when Claudia observed Johannes and remarked: “You look like you’re going to cry.”
Montell was visibly on edge and shared her nervousness: “I was a bit nervous actually, I’ll be honest, just before.
“I loved it but I was like, ‘I’m really nervous’. Because of the speed I knew that, coming from a sprinter, I thought I’d be able to keep up!”
Viewers at home were quick to take to X, formerly Twitter, to express their admiration for Montell and Johannes’ performance.
One user enthused: “Montell and Johannes are my favourite couple in the show so far. Seeing her progress from week one to now is incredible. That Cha Cha Cha was incredible.”
Another chipped in with praise, saying: “Montell and Jojo fast becoming one of my fave couples.”
A different user said: “My three favs all at the beginning gosh I wasn’t ready, I’m SO proud of Pete and Montell is killing it every week, I think Punam was pretty good to #strictly.”
Heaping further acclaim, a tweet read: “Montell Douglas and Johannes Cha cha cha was beautiful.
“Montell has the most wonderful shaping of her arms and hands with legs that never end.
“A really stylish and fun couple tonight – so enjoyable.”
Someone else then asserted: “If we’re talking journey contestants then Montell is the real winner here…she can DANCE.”
“Montell is fast becoming one of my favourites. She brings SO much energy to her dances and I’ve always loved Johannes anyway”, added another admirer on social media.
