The Swallow Falls Inn in North Wales has undergone an extensive transformation
A landmark pub surrounded by scenic views is due to reopen next year following a multi-million pound redevelopment. The Swallow Falls Inn sits near to Eryri National Park, Snowdonia, close to the waterfalls it is named after.
The property was bought in 2021 by the Inn Collection Group who began a major renovation project this year after securing planning permission. Bookings have now opened for the Betws-y-Coed pub with rooms – with the first guests due to stay on February 28.
The pub has undergone an extensive list of renovations, including the forming of brand-new bedrooms in the main building, old Youth Hostel Association building and the former Tavern. State of the art kitchen facilities are being created whilst slate roofs have been renewed, along with the installation of new utilities including a water treatment plant and electrical sub-stations, North Wales Live reports.

As the refurbishment project continues to progress, fitting out of bedrooms, and the renovation of the bar and restaurant area will be the key areas of focus ahead of the inn reopening. Once completed it will offer 38 bedrooms.
It will also will retain its campsite with 30 pitches allowing those who prefer to spend the night under canvas to enjoy the tranquillity of the area. Three renovated camping “pods” will provide a further choice of accommodation type whilst facilities provided will include male and female showers, complete with vanity units and toilets.
Transformed, the new-look inn will boast 146 internal covers, with the outdoor terrace providing a further 56. The group also runs the Bull’s Head in Beaumaris and is redeveloping the St Kilda hotel in Llandudno.
